I’ve never read a whole lot about communism. Overall my understanding is everyone works according to their abilities, and receives according to their needs. I think many people have kneejerk reactions against communism because of Soviet Russia and cold war era stuff. Really it’s not a bad concept, but it’s all but impossible to implement on a large scale, and generally attempts at communism have failed due to corruption and bureaucracy. I think it’s socialism that promotes everyone getting a minimum quality of life guaranteed, with the ability to work to increase your QoL, but then “oh socialism is bad because Nazis” happens. Isn’t politics grand

The fact that every time it’s been attempted there was corruption I think says something about the concept itself. Maybe the True ideal of communism is good, but incompatible with humanity’s desires. Someone has to regulate the communist laws after all, and that single person isn’t likely to be perfect.

1) she’s completely confident in herself! She is plopped into this strange world and doesn’t let herself be manipulated by her horrible surroundings. She sings in public, wears whatever she wants, and never lets her vision become clouded.
2) She is the OG female saver of the day. Anyone remember how she stood up to an evil queen who was 15x her size and had fire-breathing powers??? She even keeps her morale and offers the bad guy several options to quit it! But she knows what must be done and completes the job.
3) she’s strong and badass without losing sight of her emotions. She cries, laughs, and gets frustrated while still staying true to herself. She never compromises her feelings for what she wants.
4) She is truly happy in the end. Her initial view of happily ever after changes throughout the movie. In the beginning, she has the view of your typical princess: one true love who will rescue me. She, however, ends up rescuing the man she loves who is not the first man she ever met who showed her affection.

The kind of masculinity this is advocating doesn’t help *anyone.* What is Morgan looking for here? Carry the baby in your arms, which is tiring and means you’re not going to be able to carry them as long? Push them in a stroller? Which means you need to take a big-ass stroller everywhere and you don’t share warmth and can’t just glance down to check on them? Make sure it’s only mom carrying the baby, so that dad doesn’t have the same bond and relationship with his children, leaving him isolated and the kids distant from a source of support?
Men. Guys. My dudes.
You deserve parental leave. You deserve to have have changing tables in the restroom. You deserve to be able to take time off work to pick up your kid from school when they’re sick or to leave work early to go to their school play. You deserve to walk down the goddamned street carrying your infant child, a tiny person whose entire life depends on you, without getting shamed or laughed at.
You deserve to be cuddled and to cuddle people you love.
