So, I’ve been trying to determine what kind of sword Kris uses in Deltarune, and based on its size and the way they use it, i believe they are wielding a Bastard sword.
The sword seems to be comparable to that real life counterpart.
I’m curious if someone has something else in mind…
I know it’s cartoony but kris’s sword looks thicker
Oh definitely! I just haven’t found any actual real life swords that are that thick. The claymore is close, but entirely too big, same for the great sword. Swords that thick are considered impractical irl usually. That’s why I figured the bastard sword was the closest-
To be frank it’s an anime sword and there isn’t a real life counterpart. It’s just fun to try and guess something that might compare from our reality
Hmmm, I can kind of see it. but its still not nearly as big as the sword used by the in game sprite. The shape is certainly there somewhat. Maybe its a combination of the two- im calling that the bastard gladius
